Pride festivals are about our community opening its arms up to all who find it comforting and empowering. It is about spreading hope that not only are things getting better but things will continue to improve because we won’t forget about the lives of friends and family we lost; the battles and the pain we suffered that now affords us a growing list of equal rights in the United States.

SECRETARY - HISTORIAN - ARCHIVIST
After completing a four year enlistment in the US Army, I worked jobs from Food Services to Financial Services. I relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1997 to work in Landscape Services. After 20 years, I retired from Landscape Services in early 2017 to move to Desert Hot Springs for my next adventure. I was grateful to be involved with the first DiversityDHS festival. I’m proud to be Secretary and doing what I can to help make our next festival bigger and better!
My experience spans over 30 years in LGBTQ advocacy and coalition building at the national and regional level via multiple organizations. Broadcast television series production, advertising, marketing, print and web media design, IT tech and VR entertainment development are my specialties rounding out my 10%. Moved to Desert Hot Springs in 2016. Love the resort lifestyle of the CV and all leisure and entertainment activities the area has to offer. Always seeking to meet and make new friends locally.
